Here is a base for the 5W Creality laser that lets you add a 5010 blower fan to more effective capture and extract the laser engraver fumes. Level this like a typical 3D printer, with a small gap between the bottom of this plate and the item you want engrave. It is a smidge shorter than the "leveler arm" that originally comes with the laser. The 5010 blower will generate a nice cross breeze that will whisk away most of your fumes to the back of the module. This should fit tightly onto your module, with little tape necessary.Added bonus: This serves as a protective measure for the eyes by substantially reducing the visibility of the exposed laser. For enhanced sealing, consider the using tape or foam around the base.I also modded the air assist from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5525519 to redirect the cooling fan's air towards the laser beam. The laser has never felt warm during 10 minute engraving sessions, so why add more fan when original fan do trick?NOTE:Using the 5W laser at 100% power will generate too much heat and melt the base. For wood coasters, 40% was sufficient for me with decent extraction.
