<h1>Breakthrough in Layer Skipping Issues!</h1> <h2>No More Layer Skipping Since I Switched to This Extruder!</h2> I've experienced a complete elimination of layer skipping since using this extruder. It's not a guarantee, but it can significantly help prevent the issue. Before attempting to use it, be sure to verify that your Creality printer features the same extruder design as my CR-10S. This innovative extruder was designed with minimal filament friction in mind. Every hole is generously sized for Teflon or Capricorn tubes. I've created two versions: a standard extruder and one compatible with a filament sensor (CR-10S sensor). A single M4 nut is required for the "Extruder Part 2." Edit 09/09/2019 It's likely more effective to use the original extruder arm instead of "extruder part 2." The part responsible for keeping the filament in line deforms over time (printed with PLA and 30% infill). Acquire a 4mm drill bit and slowly create a hole from the original extruder arm where the filament passes through, stopping just short of the other end. With the new 4mm hole, you can insert a piece of Teflon or Capricorn tube. This modification offers reduced friction with the filament while preserving the benefits of the original design. I initially hesitated to make this alteration, fearing damage to the original parts. However, after encountering issues with the bearing bending slightly to one side (hindering the extruder's ability to grasp the filament), I decided it was worth making this small improvement.
