thingiverse
This fully parametric kit allows you to create triangular crayons or recycle old ones and a sharpener. The shape benefits from ease of casting, grip, stacking, and non-rolling properties. With numerous parameters, the code is commented for easy tweaking. Instructions with photos detail the process: first, choose values, render, print, and note plaster volume; second, coat mold surfaces with a release agent and pour Plaster of Paris; third, cut sprues, remove mold, and fill with melted crayons; for sharpeners, print guide and cutter parts, file or sand sharp edges, snap into position, insert crayon, and turn; lastly, use OpenSCAD 64-bit on Linux, Slic3r 0.9.1, Marlin firmware, j-head 0.5mm nozzle, 3mm PLA filament from China, glass printing surface with ABS juice, heated bed at 90°C for first layer and 75°C for others, two perimeters, 15% honeycomb infill, and 0.33mm layer height.
