This is an easy-to-use Crank Protector (Crank Boot) designed specifically for mountain bikes. It's perfect for preventing dents and scratches on your cranks when riding through rough terrain. The crank boots are made with minimal flexibility around the sides to accommodate larger-than-average crank sizes if needed. They've been tested on two different bikes equipped with a SLX crank set, and they performed well in both cases, surviving many rides through wooded areas and local downhill parks. ***NOTE*** Although these crank boots aren't intended for long-term use, as they will wear out faster than injection-molded ones, they're an excellent temporary solution.
