Crane Kick
thingiverse
I scavenged eight rods from a broken umbrella that I planned to repurpose in some sort of project. This is how I ended up using them, with each rod being roughly 14.5 inches long and 0.114 inches thick, made entirely of fiberglass. The parts are scaled up by 2.5 times, so you will need to reduce them by a factor of 0.4 to use rods with the same dimensions as mine. Hence the title "unscaled." Here are the specifications for each rod: - 1st from left foot to hip: 6 inches - 2nd from left foot to right foot: 7 inches - 3rd from right foot to lower chest: 6 inches - 4th from right lower leg to left upper leg: 4.5 inches - 5th from hip to left hand: 7.5 inches - 6th from left upper arm to head: 2.5 inches - 7th from upper chest to right hand: 4 inches I printed all ellipsoids as tall and thin as possible with a brim at about 30 mm/sec, which produced nice results. However, I want to warn you that the left upper leg pieces were particularly difficult to remove from the print bed. If everything is built well, it should balance over the left foot, and any slight twists can correct most tipping issues.
