Human: Testing Winter Trail crampons by GV, with an emphasis on usability over perfection. My local fire chief had been struggling with metal crampons, which tended to become packed with frozen snow, prompting a search for alternative options - namely plastic ones. I thoroughly redesigned the product from scratch, aiming to achieve a perfect balance between strength and stability. I captured photos of the initial prints but not the final results. I opted to print at 0.25mm/layer and 80% infill to assess their structural integrity. A small amount of flexibility was noticed in the hollow arch, which left me wondering how it would handle extreme conditions.
