Craighouse Pier, Jura

A detailed 3D photogrammetric model of the legs and seabed beneath Craighouse Pier, Jura is created through an underwater survey conducted by experienced divers. The underside of the pier, including sections of the legs that remain above the surface, are meticulously surveyed separately by a skilled surface swimmer. Meanwhile, the topside is thoroughly mapped using a state-of-the-art drone; each section is carefully modelled individually. Once completed, the separate models can be seamlessly combined to produce an accurate and comprehensive model of the pier, encompassing both its surface and subsurface features, effectively rendering the water's presence nonexistent.
