Craftsman Router Table Inserts (FreeCAD)
thingiverse
This is a set of inserts for a Craftsman router table. The outside diameter measures 3 inches, while the instep diameter comes in at 2 and 7/8 inches. The thickness of the outer rim clocks in at 3/32 inch, with a total thickness of 3/16 inch. I drew inspiration from a set of inserts I spotted on eBay for my inner diameters - they're 1 1/4 inches, 1 7/8 inches, and 2 1/8 inches respectively. You can snag a set online for $15, but Cura estimates the cost at roughly 70 cents with 50% infill. I'm opting for PLA to start, but if these don't hold up, I'll simply reprint using ABS. If you need to tweak the center size, FreeCAD's got your back - just use the source and make adjustments as needed. Update: My print of these inserts has finally hit the finish line, and I've put them through their paces. Lo and behold, they were a tad too snug at first, so I whipped out my trusty rubber mallet and gave each one 2 to 3 taps to shave off that pesky hair. After that, they fit like a charm - smooth in and out by hand, with the top perfectly flush with the table thanks to some meticulous measuring with calipers. Keep in mind that your print may not be an exact match due to varying levels of stepper calibration accuracy. My printer driver steps/mm are dialed in with a dial indicator, but your results may vary depending on how precise your own calibration is.
