Craftsman Lawn Tractor Front Tire Bushing

I have a Craftsman T2500 Lawn Tractor, and recently, its steering has started acting erratically. The problem has been getting worse over time. While performing maintenance on the tractor this week, I discovered that the front left tire was tilting to the left and the tractor's height had dropped on that side. Upon closer inspection of the front tire, I found it held in place by a clip and two washers, but there was no direct connection to the axle. So, I removed the tire and examined the area - the bushing was missing entirely. It must have deteriorated over time and simply fallen out. Online research revealed that replacement bushings are not sold separately; instead, you need to purchase an entire new tire for around $100. However, I thought it might be possible to print a new one using my 3D printer with flexible filament. First, I measured the cavity within the wheel where the bushing is located and found that its dimensions vary - smaller at one end than the other, forming a cone shape. Then, I measured the axle to create a suitable replacement for the missing bushing. After printing it out, you may want to sand both the outside and inside surfaces. I did this and then applied some grease before sliding it into place.
