This is a muffler for the CRAFTSMAN 16 Gallon 6.5 Peak HP Wet/Dry Vac, Heavy-Duty Shop Vacuum. It was mainly designed to prevent a directed stream of air in one direction. It has a built in locking meachism. It actually increased the decibels from 85 to 86 in my shop, but I loosely packed it with cotton and it went back to 85. If I were to redesign/reprint I would: - Make longer to allow more air flow - Make the holes larger to allow more air flow - Make the hole the locking nub goes into larger for easier attachment
