CraftBot Top Enclosure

Update (2017/06/22): CraftUnique recently released a PETG dome cover with an 80mm activated carbon filter for the CraftBot Plus and CraftBot 2. https://craftunique.com/item/craftbot2-petg-dome-cover --------------------------------------------------------- I designed a custom top enclosure for my CraftBot before CraftUnique's new dome cover was available. See above for details. I purchased a five-sided acrylic clear cube from MisterPlexi, part number AC14-16, which measures 14"W x 14"D x 14"H with an open bottom. http://www.misterplexi.com/products/ac14-16.html To assemble the enclosure, simply print out the box holders and attach them to the top of your CraftBot. Then place the cube on top and load filament from underneath in the back. You're ready to print. Note: Other CraftBot users have reported that fully enclosed designs can lead to excessive heat buildup inside, which may affect print results or the extruder/hotend, especially on hot summer days. My design may face similar issues. If this happens, consider cutting a small opening on top to control the temperature better. I don't often print large objects, so I haven't experienced any major issues with my enclosure. However, my main concern is to minimize ABS fumes inside the printer. With the top enclosure on, I can smell less of these fumes. There are minor gaps between the holders, but the design works adequately for now and meets my needs, so I won't be making any further changes. Feel free to modify this design or come up with your own solution. Enjoy!
