We have an enormous walnut tree in our backyard. Cracking all those nuts open is a very challenging task. I acquired a fantastic nutcracker that I actually used as a model for my [own version](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2132485). The only drawback is, it requires a significant amount of force to crack the nuts. The 'Cracking like Nuts' uses a different approach: the eccentric handle provides a considerable amount of leverage. As the handle pushes the nuts towards the end, it's impossible to lose grip. To build it, I used some 20 mm walnut, which is quite recursive. I milled the parts on my desktop CNC machine by [Stepcraft](https://www.zenziwerken.de/my-cnc). Again, I did without double-sided machining. The base parts are glued together and a machine screw (M5) works as the bolt. No counternut is needed if the hole in the second half of the base is slightly smaller. I'm not sure if a print from plastic could withstand the force, but if someone wants to try, I'd be happy to receive feedback. Visit https://www.zenziwerken.de/en/ for more exciting designs.
