This South Australian crab measure, last updated on February 19, 2013, sets rules for Blue and Sand Crabs. For Blues, only those with a minimum carapace length of 11 cm can be caught; limits apply to combined catches of Blues and Sands. The daily personal bag limit is 40 crabs, while the boat limit is 120. Female Blues with eggs must be released immediately. For Sands, the minimum length is 10 cm across the carapace, and again, limits apply to combined catches. The daily bag limit remains at 40 and the boat limit at 120 for all types caught together. Like the Blues, females carrying eggs must be returned to the water.
