Crab magnet
thingiverse
I'm not sure if this will actually work, but I'll try to build on this concept and see where it takes us. To start, I need to find a magnet that's roughly the same size as the one I used here. I had some small round furniture magnets lying around, measuring about 5.5mm x 3mm, so I based my model off those dimensions. If you want to use this design with your own magnets, you can modify it by adding a hole - just remove the solid base and add a new one with a hole in it. Normally, I would have used OpenSCAD for this part, but in this case, Blender seemed like an easier option. To get the right fit, make sure the radius of the magnet hole is 0.2mm larger than the measured magnet radius - that's 0.4mm wider in diameter. This should give you a very snug fit.
