I was so grateful to find that grdesign had already done all of the “heavy-lifting” to design this model. (see original at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4893737/files)

The only problem I had with the original version was that the hinge piece was flat on one side and wider than stock. It made the part easy to print without supports, but I needed the arm to pivot toward the rounded side in my application.

Since the stock piece is symmetrical, I also figured somebody might appreciate it if this one was, too. All I did was split the model in ½, keep and mirror the half with the rounded pivot piece and then merge those two halves together.

These were my PLA print settings:

0.20mm layer height

0.42mm line width

4 walls (printed from inside to out)

4 top/bottom layers

100% infill, to ensure maximum strength when loaded with a full 1Kg spool

High-end of filament printing temperature range, to make strong layer bonds

100% cooling fan

Normal support, everywhere (pushes out easily from pivot hole & bayonet fitting.)

35mm/s first layer speed

* 200mm/s infill speed

* 100mm/s support and wall speed

(*using Klipper)
