CR6 SE - Dragon Hot-End / V6 - Cover & Part Cooler
thingiverse
I changed the stock hot-end to a Dragon one. There are some all-metal hot-ends that are coming on the market but I didn't really want to wait. If you have a dragon hot-end installed, this will work with your setup. I'm using this adaptor to install this hot-end to the stock abl bracket: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4734150/files I'm including a remix of BEV051's Design. My remix uses (2) M3x6x5 Threaded Inserts. I've tested this duct by doing a CFD simulation and overhang tests. The results are awesome. There must be a reason stock ducts are single-sided like this, it just works. This duct will hit the little knob holding down the glass build plate so I shortened the purge line by 20mm in my start g-code. Since the Dragon Hot-End is basically a V6 clone, this should work with V6 too. This needs to be tested. So print at your own risk if you have V6. Hardware Needed: (6) M3x4x5 Threaded Inserts (2) M3x6x5 Threaded Inserts (If using my adaptor remix) (4) M3x12 (2) M3x20 (1) 4020 Radial Fan - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L2YH79Y?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=3dchanh-20&linkId=0c0dccc588e886208a3c94b24536bbb6&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl (1) 4010 Fan - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L2YH79Y?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=3dchanh-20&linkId=0c0dccc588e886208a3c94b24536bbb6&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl (1) Dragon Hot-End or E3D V6 Hot-End (Probably) (1) Dragon Hot-End Adaptor - (Match Nozzle Heigh w/ No Fan Shroud) - https://cdn.thingiverse.com/assets/f0/99/55/a7/48/CR6_to_dragon_hotend_adapter_match_nozzle_hight_without_fan_shroud.stl SimScale Project: https://www.simscale.com/projects/cphuong/cr6_duct/
