CR6-MAX CR6-SE Direct Drive Plate For Linear Rail
thingiverse
HI There, this is another version of my direct drive plate for the CR6-MAX and CR6-SE printers. It allows you to mount the extruder directly above the hot end using all of the standard components, all whilst using a Linear rail. Print this using PLA+ or PETG face down and it should print just fine for you. No supports needed. This plate is a little thicker than my other one due to the fact that the 4 screws holding it against the linear rail need to be flush. The spacer is placed between the extruder and the plate. The extruder needs to be brought forward around 2mm to align with the hotend. After the plate thickness and Linear rail thickness, the hot end is pushed forward by around 10mm, however still fits on the build bed without modification. What you will need to do though is modify the X end stop. A cover plate and mount are included in this post so that you can print them out and stick the end stop on the outside of the x-stepper motor cover. This is an easy task though. Please check the Youtube video for further instructions. The CR6-MAX requires a firmware update to shrink the bed by 20mm on the X axis. This extra weight obviously means you will need to slow down the printer. I print at 50mm/sec and it seems to be fine. Video of the Linear rail install can be found here: https://youtu.be/RsObxw4Bzok
