I wanted better (and quieter) cooling fans so I designed this to allow the use of a 40mm axial heat-break fan and a 4020 part cooling fan. I'm a hack at design, I admit it, but it came out okay. The part cooling fan's duct is ~1.5mm-2mm above the nozzle so it will not hit anything. The fan adapter is similar to a funnel in that it takes the output from a 40mm axial fan and reduces it somewhat and points it right at the heatbreak and heatsink on the heatbreak. It also contains a small conduit in which to run the heatbreak fan wire to keep it out of the way. The fan "adapter" is designed in such a way that the screws used to secure the 40mm axial fan self-tap into the adapter. If you print in Simplify3D, use the default support angle of 0° for easier support removal for the part cooling duct. It can get tricky if you use a dense infill for the support.
