One of those things you never possess and never require... until you really require one, and don't have it. I enjoy old computers; restoring them, experimenting with them, designing and creating upgrades. The nemesis of any 'retro-computer' enthusiast is obviously the leaky battery. All aged cells eventually release their highly corrosive contents and if not handled quickly and thoroughly that spells absolute destruction for the motherboard in your computer. Always replace that old battery whenever you acquire any computer that's more than about five years old. A CR2032 often makes a suitable replacement for a battery that's no longer manufactured (many old computers) but you'll need a suitable holder. This one should suffice.
