CR2032 Battery Box With Switch

CR2032 Battery Box With Switch

thingiverse

I recently designed a standalone battery box and switch unit for use in my walking robot toy on Thingiverse, building upon the original design I posted earlier. The revised unit is now available as two separate versions - one for single 2032 cell batteries and another for two cells connected in series. This new design consists of three main components: the battery box, a slider, and a cap, with the slider and cap being identical across both versions. To connect the electrical contacts, I used #1 paperclips, which can be easily bent using the provided jigs - one jig is for bending the top contactor, suitable for both versions, while the other is designed specifically for the bottom contactor. When selecting your battery box, ensure it matches the chosen version of the switch unit. The #1 paperclip used in this design works seamlessly with Dupont connectors. Additionally, you will need 3MM screws measuring between 6 to 8 MM long, a few of which are used in the top wire bending jig. With minimal effort and under an hour's time, you can print and assemble the switch unit. I have included a video demonstration showcasing the assembly process, accessible via the link below.
