CR12600SE Battery Replacement Adapter 2x E90/N

I need these batteries for my home alarm system, for detecting a door's state (open/closed). So, I found that the only batteries that were close were E90 or N sized batteries. These E90/N batteries are easily attainable / ordered from the usual suspects. I will be the first to admit this is not a 1:1 replacement. *If your application requires the battery draw characteristics then you won't be able to use this solution* this solution uses two Alkaline batteries ... not Lithium.... they still produce the same 3v. does chemistry matter? you will need to determine that on your own, i am NOT liable for whatever you do with this design / idea. The design fits tightly on the E90/N batteries so they should just hold themselves together, you could scale up or down to fit better if you need to. this is designed with a 0.4 nozzle in mind because the wall thickness is 0.8. I believe the best bet to ensure good contact for time to come is to take a spring from a pen and cut off a few curls worth and smash them together in the sleeve inbetween the two batteries, this will help hold pressure and keep electrical contact between the batteries. This replacement is about 1mm shorter and 1mm fatter around than the original CR12600SE... good luck and I hope this works for you as well. watch out for internal abnormalities, you may have to scrape out a fleck here or there. You will probably need to carve out / de-burr the end that touches the build plate. it will be a bit larger on the inside and outside. scrape it off, sand it down, whatever you need to do to make the inside of the tube smooth so you can slide the batteries in unimpeded.
