CR10V3 LightBar
thingiverse
Light bar I drew up and printed for my cr10v3. Details worth knowing: -The recess in the light bar will fit max. 2 10mm wide led strips -The passage holes/conduit will fit 2 22ga. wires max. -I bought 24v led Strips to match the power source and to take the guess work out of hooking 12v strips in series. -I chose to put the led strips on a switch as I don't trust the lights to be on all the time (turned out to be a good idea I think as the lights get hotter than I'd like.....Amazon.... am I right?) -I bought a 24v switch (Amazon add in the pics) and installed it into the top of the control box.I did not enjoy this part. There is room for it,but the control box fan is extremely close to this area so be careful if you go the same route. -I drilled out one of the vent holes in the side of the control box for the wires to pass through and used a pin connector to join the light bar and power supply so the printer and control box can still be separated. -I mounted the Light brackets to the inside mounting points for the stabilizer bars.will need to get longer 5mm bolts for this.i got 5mmx20mm but had to cut down to 17mm approx. -the light bar was printed with 1/4-20 threads in the mounting bosses (That's what I had).1/4-20x1/2" long button heads are too long.Instead of cutting these down I'll turn 2 .100" washers on my lathe to take up the slack. -In the end I'm quite happy with how it works.
