CR-10 v2/v3 Mount for Chito's modular E3D V6 modular system ==================== I love Chito's design and was dissapointed to find out that the mounting system on the CR10v2 is entirely different from creality's usual system. I was actually really happy with the injection molded mounting system that the printer came with, however, I wanted to install a E3D Volcano Hotend. While it fits in the original mount fine, it completely blocks the fan ducts and makes printing a tad less airy. Unfortunately, the original design didn't come with the mount's .STEP file, so I had to go through the hassle of converting the mesh to something usable and alter it to fit my mounting needs. I hope my trouble was worth it and that it fits your needs as well! Hardware ======== The hardware needed to adhere this is as follows (on top of the other hardware needed for the wings [you won't need the hardware for the mount from the original design]): * 1x M3x20 Machine screw * 2x M3x8 Machine Screw * 2x M3 Nut You can probably get away with just using the M3x20 and a nut for the center hole, that being said, I'd rather not take the chance so I used the zip-tie slots as mounting points. YMMV ===== I have also included a model with a slot in the back to route the hotend cables. I was able to print the non slotted version on its back with no supports on my Ender 3 and it worked fine, I don't know if the slotted version will do the same, YMMV.
