Cr10sPro Noctura fan shroud 40mm
thingiverse
Hello! For those brave enough to replace all five fans, I'm excited to share my 40mm cooling part fan shroud design with you. This is my first iteration of it, so be sure to check back for updates as I continue to improve it - but for now, it works amazingly well! The 40x20 fan attaches securely using four 20mm M3 bolts. My initial attempt at attaching the shroud involved either 3m tape or a glue gun until I finalize screw holes that fit perfectly. To print this design with optimal results, be sure to separate the two parts and superglue them together before printing. This ensures that you get the best cooling performance without any messy supports getting in the way of your duct's internal shape. Keep in mind that it's essential to use 24-12v step-down converters for the fans - they're only a few pounds and will provide the necessary power for your setup. I recommend wiring them inside the black housing, near where all sensors and connectors plug into the breakout board near the z-axis motor. The part cooling wire is yellow and blue (blue being ground), while the heat sink fan is black and red. This design works incredibly well - the only things that need a bit of tweaking are moving the cooling tip away from the bed and figuring out screw fittings to make it easier to install. I printed this design in PLAUP, and I'm excited to see how you can modify and improve it for your own 3D printing needs!
