Cr10s-pro to Prusa MK3s extruder adaptor aka CRUSA
thingiverse
This is my adapter plate to use an Prusa Mk3s on my Cr10s Pro. I chose to adapt this extruder because I know there are many great options available to upgrade it to almost anything you want, including future designs directly from Prusa. Things to know: - Find all the information and printed parts STL files for the extruder itself on the Prusa website. -The two blue arrows in one of the pictures show where to add two M3 washers. -You also need to set a couple M3 nuts on the back of the plate where the extruder attaches. -Use a bowden tube for cable management; there's a spot to zip tie one on the top piece (use two M3 screws to attach this piece). -Except for those washers, you can reuse the original hardware from the Pro. -I centered the extruder between the carriage wheels for balance. -Because of the new nozzle position, you need the new X and Y endstops holders for it to be right. -You need to change your firmware accordingly: E3d V6 (I used a Trianglelab clone), direct drive, Pinda position. -I originally tweaked the Tiny machine firmware for it, and it worked great. -The Vref for the extruder stepper was very high on my Cr10s Pro; make sure you turn yours down. Mine was set at 1.4v, and I tweaked it down to 1v. My extruder gets just warm now and doesn't skip a step. -The cable chain attachment part is used with this to add the X and Z cable chain: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4155541 I have been running it for many months, and I'm very happy with it. I hope you like this mod, and let me know if you have any questions.
