Warning: High Risk of Damaging Filament Sensor Wires! When moving the filament run out sensor, exercise extreme caution to avoid breaking the delicate wires connected to the filament sensor. Take your time and do not apply excessive force, as this could lead to costly repairs or even render the printer inoperable. For optimal performance with an infeed roller, it is essential to relocate the filament run out sensor to its rear two mounts. This modification requires attention to detail, but can be accomplished by following these steps: First, identify the main bodies of the sensor assembly. One body features a recess specifically designed for PTFE (Teflon) components that fit snugly into the sensor housing. To install this part, you'll need to drill a 5/32 or 3.8 mm hole in line with the feed hole on the sensor. In contrast, the second body does not require PTFE and simply slides into the stock sensor housing. Both parts are secured using a single 3mm screw that passes through the roller to maintain its position.
