CR10S PRO 5015-Stock Fan Duct Adapter
thingiverse
Tired of the Pro stock blower? Want a nice quiet 12v 5015 that easily attaches to the stock hot end cover? I like the metal shroud that comes stock. This adaptor fixes onto the existing three screw holes where the original fan was mounted. Two out of three screws can be used to mount this, but two additional 3mmx25mm screws and a nut will also be needed - or you could use one longer screw without a nut if you prefer. I printed this on Cura's "extra fast" stock setting with no support just for proof of concept. The total print time was 30 minutes. Obviously, voltage needs to be stepped down when using a 12v fan. You can buy the necessary step-down module on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07DK65DFW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It's now one o'clock in the morning, and I quickly threw this together. It's not perfect, so I would appreciate feedback - I'm an amateur at this, after all. Any help to make it better is greatly appreciated. When designing this adaptor, I found two different dimensions for 5015 fans. One hole is slotted to hopefully accommodate both sizes, but I'm not sure if that will work.
