CR10S Filament Sensor mount
thingiverse
Just realized I didn't correct the print orientation on the updated model. Should be fixed now. *Update* Added an updated sensor holder with a 6mm offset to bring the filament away from the Z-screw. Sick and tired of the default filament run out sensor on the CR10S printers? Me too. So, I spent most of a Friday brainstorming and designing this mount. It doesn't use the Z-axis nut screws to secure it like the other mounts that I've seen. This mount snaps onto the Z-axis guide wheel shaft and locks onto the X-axis motor. The two main pieces pivot and lock together with two M4 screws. The sensor cover attaches with two M3 screws. Once you assemble all three pieces with the sensor, the whole unit can be snapped on your machine in seconds with no tools. I coupled this with the filament guide wheel that I designed for top mounting my spool.
