I have a CR-10S (dual Z steppers). This thing is a GT2 Belt Tensioner I made for linking the two Z axis lead screws together to prevent them from getting offset. I assume this would also work on CR-10 printers with the single stepper. Background Info I had an issue where the bracket on the Z-carriage crashed into the stepper motor on the right side (facing the printer). See attached photo. I am using a mirror tile for a printing surface and it is a bit thinner than the stock glass. I figure that contributed to the issue. I printed an adjustable Z stop and raised up the bed and the bracket now always clears. Still, I would occasionally get an offset by bumping something with the motors off, removing a part, etc. I thought it would be good to link the two lead screws. I wanted to keep it simple, so I used the stock lead screws and put a pulley at the top of each lead screw, just under the mount. I got a closed loop timing belt and designed this simple tensioner. It takes a little off the maximum print height (I have never printed anything that requires the full 400mm). The part pictured is before the update. I have included versions with and without the Generation 3 Engineering logos. I have printed a couple parts with the setup. So far, so good. Update - 15 Jan 2019 - This is working great! I no longer have to level the bed before every print. I wish I had done this long ago.
