I designed this enclosure to keep my CR10 control box from overheating in an enclosed space. I printed custom legs for the CR10 so that I could position the control box beneath the printer, allowing for optimal airflow and temperature regulation. This intake is specifically engineered to draw in fresh, cool air from underneath the enclosure, ensuring a consistent flow of chilled air directly to the control box. It's designed to accommodate a 120mm fan, with airflow direction being crucial to its effectiveness as a booster system. The CR10 control box draws cold air through vents on the left side of the box, while two internal case fans serve as exhaust systems. I'm using an all-metal computer network enclosure with a glass front for added durability and visibility. Both the front and back doors are hinged, and the sides can be easily removed for maintenance access. To ensure a secure seal, I'm utilizing aluminum HVAC tape throughout the enclosure. My ultimate goal is to create a safer and more reliable printing solution that minimizes overheating risks.
