CR10 standalone modification
prusaprinters

I converted my CR10 (first version from 2017) to a standalone model since I didn't want to have the control box sitting beside the printer.

For that I used a 5mm acrylic sheet as the base plate, which I mounted below the frame.

I mostly used the standard hardware from the printer plus some extra t-nuts and bolts.

The DFX file for the baseplate has mounting points for a Raspberry Pi and a BTT SKR Mini E3 V1.2

While doing the conversion I also put a direct drive extruder on the printer, hence the cable guide for that and the holder for the extruder extension. I think you could get away with the bowden style extruder and the extension cables for that, but I haven't tested that.

I will upload some pictures once I got the printer out of the basement again, since I'm in the middle of a move.

If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask them. I'll try to answer them as soon as possible :)
