cr10 s5 frame stiffener
thingiverse
I purchased the CR10 S5, but its stiffness was a major turn-off for me, not to mention its rather unstable frame. I then opted to upgrade with the Crearibo kit (link below) and created custom brackets with the assistance of a local metal shop. The holes in the printed parts measure 5mm in diameter, making an M5x8-10mm long screw a suitable fit. Similarly, the holes for mounting the rods are 4mm in size. For the rods themselves, I used 10mm hydraulic pipes with an internal diameter of 8mm and tapped an M8 thread directly into them. The plate is 5mm thick, featuring an M8 threaded rod welded onto it, secured by a corresponding M8 nut against the pipe. The custom brackets are designed to work in conjunction with the standard CR10 S5 setup, consisting of left and right upper brackets, as well as lower brackets. Additionally, there's also a Prusa-style configuration available for those who prefer that particular setup.
