Simple Timelapse Setup with Constant Object Position \r\n Every timelapse featuring a moving print object and shaky footage is a waste of time, in my opinion.\r\n Camera Mount: A Simple M4 Screw holds the camera firmly in place for the first shot. A hole was drilled into the camera to accommodate this setup.\r\n Used Components: Octopi (Multi-Instance 4 Printers), Creative Live HD Autofocus 720p Webcams.\r\n Additional Note: Connecting multiple webcams and 3D printers to a Raspberry Pi can lead to random USB connection loss with connected printers, resulting in aborted prints and costly errors due to supply overload. Solution: Use 2-4 identical USB supplies in parallel to prevent this issue.\r\n For optimal performance, combine the single cables just before the microUSB plug to maximize copper availability and minimize resistance and losses.\r\n Even with identical USB supplies, interference voltage can still cause cropped images (white lines horizontally and vertically) if using old webcams. This issue is also influenced by shielding elements in the USB cable, such as magnets and inductors.\r\n We experienced this behavior with very old STV0680 chips used in additional motion installations on Octopi for surveillance purposes. However, Creative HD webcams did not exhibit this issue, suggesting that all mjpg-streamer compatible webcams are immune to interference voltage picture influences.
