CR10-S E3D Clone Extruder Mount (Large & Small Nozzles)
thingiverse
This is a no-frills Extruder Mount designed specifically for an E3D Clone Extruder. I purchased the extruder, which was initially advertised as an E3D model, but it appears to be slightly shorter than its actual counterpart. This remix aims to address this issue; although it may not work with a standard E3D, it should be easy to tweak and adapt for a perfect fit. The mount boasts several features that the previous design lacked, including an additional bolt point on the top mount for enhanced stability, a space for hotend cables to be wired back to the board, and extensions to further stabilize the extruder. It accommodates two fans: one 30mm and one 40mm fan, which I swapped from my original CR10 extruder mount and connected to the new E3D fan. To ensure optimal airflow, I recommend using a higher infill setting, as airflow can sometimes be an issue. Printing the mount requires a few extra M3x20 screws and a single M3x8 screw (approximately). When printing, attach the larger part to the bed with its flat surface facing up, then add supports that just touch the buildplate to support the fan output. The top part can be printed in either orientation but also needs some supports. For large nozzle versions, the fan output is situated 3mm lower. This remix was adapted from SmellyUnory's Creality CR-10 SMART V6 mount found on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2560599). If you have a chance, please check out Vektorz.com.
