Here is a redesigned reel holder for direct drives. No more long PTFE tube that wears out quickly, no more bulky coil holders or unwinding problems when lifting in Z, or then the worries of loading the direct-drive from above. I use 2 small bowden parts of 4cm each to guide the filament well.
