CR10 LED holder

CR10 LED holder

Here's a super simple LED holder for the Cr10(s). Unlike most other designs, this one is friction fit and minimalist. It is wide enough to hold two strips of LEDs, but you can use just one to avoid soldering. I've used RGBW strip so that I can light up the enclosure for timelapses. It fits the build plate of the Cr10 diagonally. It extends across most of the top bar; the reason why the LEDs are so short is because the cutting lengths made them either too short or too long, but another brand of LEDs would hopefully fix this issue. I used these LEDs: https://www.amazon.com.au/XCSOURCE-Controller-Backlighting-Lighting-LD1355/dp/B07D9K3Z2H/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=rgbw+led+strip&qid=1556084759&s=gateway&sr=8-3. I like these ones because they can be controlled with my phone to fade between colors and turn off with a timer at night via software. This design should work with the Ender 3, but someone might need to remix it by making it shorter.
