I purchased two filament sensor housings by mistake, and they turned out to be endstop sensors commonly used for 3D printers (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1WQA48/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Upon further research, I found no single sensor that combined this type of sensor with an attachment to the extruder. Original inspiration came from: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2480901 https://www.thingiverse.com/GiantMidgt Additionally, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2443425 https://www.thingiverse.com/STIG_ Version 2 improved the design by updating one of the holes to make it easier to install the filament onto the extruder. Version 3 enhanced the design further by widening the hole for the filament, allowing PTFE tube to be inserted both before and after the sensor. I discovered that the original design had areas where the plastic rubbed against the PTFE tubing, potentially causing snags. By using PTFE tubing, the filament now moves smoothly through the system.
