CR10_Filament-Filter with filament leading
thingiverse
I've reimagined this Filament-Filter from hasings, specifically tailored for the Creality CR10. The concept of merging a filter with a filament guide into one component has been refined further by incorporating an adjustable axle that dynamically alters the direction of incoming filament. As printed parts grow taller, the filament must adjust its angle of approach to the reel, and this axle enables self-adaptation to meet these changing needs. Next, I've modified the filter material for on-the-fly replacement without disengaging the filament from the extruder. The procedure involves threading the filament directly into the guide hole situated between the two halves of the filter, accompanied by two small sponges or folded pieces of soft paper. This is followed by securing the chamber with a rubber band or a mini zip tie. A helpful tip: It's advisable to drill the inner diameters of the axle to approximately 2.6mm (slightly larger than 2.5mm) and the screw holes to around 3.2mm (a bit more than 3mm).
