This part is a single-component low-profile filament spool holder. I've replaced my standard Ender 3 spool bracket with this one. After observing numerous over-engineered spool holders, I came up with this simple design that can be mounted horizontally or vertically. It will work with any 3D printer having a frame that can accommodate M3 or M4 bolts, typically a 20x40 6mm slot or a 20x20mm 6mm slot. Designed for use with 8mm long bolts and T-nuts. This design allows the overall height of the printer to be reduced, enabling it to sit on a bookshelf or any other location where reduced headroom is crucial. It can accommodate spools up to 85mm in width, which usually equates to 1kg spools. Print with at least 20% infill for strength and a minimum wall thickness of 1mm, ideally. Thinner walls will also work with lower mass spools.
