CR10/Ender 3 Extruder Chain with Filament Runout Mount
thingiverse
I created two custom parts using Thingiverse, combining them to provide a secure spot for my TH3D EZOut (https://www.th3dstudio.com/product/ezout-v2-filament-sensor-kit-or-bl-touch-adapter-board/) and the chain I printed for cable management. This modification helps those in similar situations. To attach the EZOut, I used a drill bit that matched the holes' size exactly, placing it within the filament runout's tray and drilling through the print. Two M4x25 screws securely hold it in place. For optimal printing results, I found it best to flip the object 180 degrees on the Y-axis with supports from the bed only. Update: After using this setup, I realized that loading filament could be easier. Currently, I use tweezers to guide the filament, but there might be alternative solutions available. Once I find a fix, I will update this version with improvements.
