This is a custom direct drive setup designed specifically for the CR10, CR10S, CR10S4, and CR10S5 models using an E3D Titan extruder and E3D V6 hotend. The goal was to create a setup that allows easy access to the Titan extruder while maintaining a minimal footprint. This design is not compatible with the stock hotend or Micro Swiss style hotends. To keep the overall profile small, it uses the stock cooling fan found on the E3D V6. The part cooling fan features a nut pocket for a 3mm hex nut and fits a 5015 blower. It shares one mounting screw with the Titan extruder. Although this is just a basic design for testing purposes, future revisions are expected to improve the fan duct. The mounting plate supports an 18mm inductive probe, which is held in place by a single 3mm set screw. The mounting plate attaches to the stock X Gantry using two 3mm x 10mm screws. Overall, this mount is extremely sturdy, and the part cooling fan mount perfectly matches the corner contour of the Titan extruder to prevent movement when only single-point mounted. The mounting plate can accommodate a pancake stepper motor and the larger stock extruder stepper motor. Future designs will include wire management, BL Touch integration, a fan duct for volcano hotends, and an upgraded part cooling duct. For those who need it, ABL probe offsets are x -25, y 14.
