Cr10-Cr10s-Cr10Pro-CR-X - Foot Damper - V2
thingiverse
I'm thrilled to share version 2, a significantly improved solution designed specifically for heavier printers like the Cr10-S Pro, Cr-X, Ender 5, and Tevo Tornado. If you're interested in the original version, which is suitable for lighter printers such as the Ender 3/Ender 3 Pro, you can find it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3678927. I created this Squash Ball damper after researching existing designs on Thingiverse, but I found that they were too tall for my liking when mounted on the underside. That's why I decided to craft a custom version. If you've benefited from this design or would like to show your appreciation by buying me a cup of coffee (which helps keep my creative juices flowing), please consider using this link: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/Mb1vZjXUG This design is the lowest height possible for a Squash Ball damper if it needs to be mounted on the underside, ensuring that the M4 bolt still has enough material to securely fasten onto the frame of your Cr10 or the chassis of your Cr-X/Cr10Pro. As you can see, this Squash Ball damper is compatible with Creality's Cr10, Cr10S series, Cr-X, and Cr10Pro. I believe it should also fit the Ender Series and Tevo Tornado, but there may be clones of the Cr10 that it won't work with. Mounting the Squash Ball Foot: For the Cr10 or Cr10S, you'll need to replace the original M4 x 12mm button head with an M4 x 6mm button head. You'll also require one small washer from the original rubber foot for the new Squash Ball Foot. On the other hand, if you're using a Cr-X or Cr10-Pro, you can simply reuse the M4 bolt and small washer since there's nothing in the chassis that will prevent the bolt from going too far in. According to forums, mounting Squash Balls with two Yellow dots is the best option. They seem to be the perfect choice, offering an excellent balance of "sponginess" for this purpose – not too much or too little.
