CR10/10S Y carriage linear rail jig/adapter for MGN12H blocks
thingiverse
Use as a jig for drilling out your CR10/CR10S aluminum Y carriage, or use as adapter to add MGN12H blocks and linear rails to your CR10/CR10S. Center holes are spaced out to match the original Y carriage, and the linear rail holes are spaced far enough apart to avoid the Y stepper. If using as a jig, then simply print at a few mm height. If using as a base, then use 10-12 mm long M3 screws to attach the base to the liner rail blocks, then bolt the Y carriage on top of the base using 15 mm long M5 screws. The stock design uses the left read wheel to activate the y limit switch, so either print a spacer or reinstall the original wheel to activate the switch. If using as a base and will be in an enclosure, I recommend PETG or high temp PLA/PLA+ at the very least to keep the base from warping or softening in the enclosure. 2022-5-10: I designed corner blocks (20x20x30mm) to hold the 2020 extrusions at the front and back of the frame, as well as 40x20x10mm spacers to lift the center 4020 extrusion that holds the y stepper and tensioner. These spacers can help decrease tension on the belt and reduce the angle from stepper and tensioner to the carriage if needed.
