CR-X Screen Adapter Plate for Anet A6 Display
thingiverse
This is an adapter plate I designed for my Creality CR-X. It enables the use of a 12864 LCD screen, available on Amazon through this link, to upgrade to Marlin 2.0 without dealing with touchscreen firmware issues. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078Y647LT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Here's how to connect the screen to a Ramps board: Note: The RED ribbon is a single pin on the cable. Below is the layout for the plug socket connector, viewed from the perspective of the plug socket pins. The first number indicates the LCD pinout number (e.g., 1 is the first pin), followed by the RAMPS pin number in brackets (e.g., D16) (D17), which corresponds to the correct position on the RAMPS schematic. LCD connector: 1. GND Ground --------------------2. +5V 5V 3. LCD_PINS_RS D16 -----------4. BTN_EN2 D33 5. LCD_PINS_ENABLE D17 ----6. BTN_EN1 D31 7. N/C ----------------------------------8. BTN_ENC D35 9. LCD_PINS_D4 D23 -----------10. BEEPER_PIN D37 The J3 connector doesn't serve much purpose, as most of its functions are for components not included on the A6 LCD board (an SD card reader or a Bluetooth module). It primarily connects the reset button and, although the 5V and GND connections are not necessary, they were connected anyway. J3 connector: 1. N/C ----------------2. N/C 3. N/C ----------------4. +5V 5V 5. N/C ----------------6. N/C 7. RESET D41 ---8. Ground GND 9. N/C ---------------10. N/C
