CR-6 Sock Mould

CR-6 socks are hard to get: So, here is a cheap and easy solution. All you need is some silicone and corn starch. And the mould, obviously After printing the mould, sand the pin lightly until it slides easily. I used automotive gasket sillicone. It is heat resistant, cheap and available in small quanties (tube) for a few bucks. 99% chance you already have corn starch in a kitchen cupboard. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE "OLD-FASHIONED" SMELLY ACIDIC SILLICONE (Acetoxy silicone): OTHER KINDS DON'T WORK! And don't forget to "oil" the mold thinly with WD40 or petroleum jelly to avoid sticking. Now for the sock: 1 volume part gasket silicone. Size of a marble is enough. About 1.5 volume parts corn starch Mix thoroughly (yes it's hard to do) until you can make a little ball without it sticking to much: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9VzjrzLDiE Place the marble size ball in the mould. Press in the inner part carefully in until the top is flush.. Exess rubber oozes out the top. Scrape off exess silicone from the top but keep that at hand to check if the sillicone hardened enough, It should be fully hardened in a few hours. Take it out by pushing the "pin" up with a 5mm thinghy of your choice. Remove the supports. Don't foget the tiny ones on the inner part :-) That's it.
