CR-6 SE Probe LED Light Pipe

CR-6 SE Probe LED Light Pipe

My CR-6 SE printer is installed at such a height and angle from my seated position that I have difficulty seeing the blue LED that signals activation of the bed probe. While musing to myself how I might bring that signal out where I could see it, I hit upon the idea of designing and installing a "light pipe" conduit. In fact, I have stopped short of actually installing this pipe through the front face of my fan shroud, as I originally intended, because: 1. I could not bring myself to make the necessary hole in a "perfectly good" shroud. 2. I discovered that aligning the input end of the light pipe with the face of the SMD LED is not as easy as it sounds, since any angle or deviation reduces the efficacy of the pipe considerably. 3. This tube - which is intended to hold the "pipe" itself - actually diffuses so much of the LED light that it pretty-much solves my original problem, without my having to put a hole in the shroud. I am posting this here because ohers may be satisfied to do as I have done, or they may be inspired with better ideas or be willing to "go all the way" with this thing and drill that hole.
