CR-6 SE 16 Point Bed Level Test
thingiverse
This is a bed level test print for the CR-6 SE - with 16 points (25mm x 25mm for each point). The CR-6 SE has the Auto Bed Levelling (ABL) feature, which the user can/should run to ensure that the firmware detects the level of the bed at 16 points on the bed. This helps the firmware compensate for the difference in the bed level. It has been found that ABL works well in general, but there are times that due to a warped heated bed or print surface, the values set by ABL might not work well. With the release of Community Firmware 6 for the CR-6 printers, a new option allows for the user to manually tweak the one or more of the numbers for the 16 points measured by ABL. This STL can be used to test whether each of the 16 points has a decent value, and if the user chooses to tweak the numbers for any of the points, this STL will help to show how it will affect the print at all the points. This STL is made to fit the dimensions of the CR-6 SE print area only (235mm x 235 mm) It will be beneficial for those who are running Community Firmware 6 (or higher) for the CR-6 SE. This STL will span across (X=0 to Y=0), to (X=235, Y=235). IMPORTANT: 1. Turn off skirt/brim/raft when slicing 2. If you print the purge line (if added in the Start Gcode), note that it will need to be modified for this print because this STL will print on the outer extremes of the print bed - so, the purge line needs to be shifted to the right. For example, the lines you currently have might look like this in the Start Gcode: <code> G1 X10.1 Y20 Z0.28 F5000.0 ;Move to start position G1 X10.1 Y200.0 Z0.28 F1500.0 E15 ;Draw the first line G1 X10.4 Y200.0 Z0.28 F5000.0 ;Move to side a little G1 X10.4 Y20 Z0.28 F1500.0 E30 ;Draw the second line It needs to be modified as shown below (the X coordinate has to be shifted by an additional 30mm): <code> G1 X40.1 Y20 Z0.28 F5000.0 ;Move to start position G1 X40.1 Y200.0 Z0.28 F1500.0 E15 ;Draw the first line G1 X40.4 Y200.0 Z0.28 F5000.0 ;Move to side a little G1 X40.4 Y20 Z0.28 F1500.0 E30 ;Draw the second line </code>
