CR-5 PRO Dragonfly BMS ST Adapter
thingiverse
After test severals Cr-10 and Cr-10s pro hotends in my CR-5 PRO, the DRAGONFLY BMS ST is one of my favorite, so I decided to spend some time designing an adapter. The Cr-5 Pro carriage is very narrow and only Cr-10s pro hotends fits without modifications ( you only need to fit the fan DIY). Sadly there is no Cr-10s pro Dragonfly model so its necessary to modify the screws height. As I said, the Cr-5 pro carriage is very narrow, so be patient fitting all the stuff in it, I recommend you to print the adapter 2 - 3 times because its no difficult to break it while screwing or fitting. I have made 2 version: v1: Fits without carriage modifications, the hotend will touch the belt and is not the best solution v2: You need to mod a little the carriage to fit the sink round part ( I made it with my Dremel ) Both design are usable but is still a Work-In-Progress, please keep in mind: - Use M3 x 5.7 Thread Inserts for the Hotend - If after install it the hotend is too close to the belt ( because sometimes the inserts or screws warp the adapter, use a hot air gun to relocate the hotend vertically ) - Use PETG or ABS not PLA - its better to use a 3006 fan instead of 3010 to get more space ( 3010 works well ) Feel free to improve or remix the model, we need to grow the Cr-5 Pro community! ( Sorry for the bad pictures, the next time I disamble the hotend I will take better ones )
