Belt Tensioner Design Update for CR10S5 I'm revising my initial design to make it even better. This new version no longer relies on part of the original bracket, making it compatible with any 20x20 profile. However, be sure to check the belt's height over the profile before printing. This updated tensioner is more robust and easier to print than other CR10 designs I've found. I've also added an experimental bracket that might fit smaller CR10 models with a 20x40 center extrusion. Although I don't own one of these printers, I'm including it for anyone interested in experimenting. You won't need any supports when printing this design. You can reuse the roller, but you'll need new M4/M5 screws and T-nuts. This version uses M6 bolts for adjusting, which are more readily available than M5 bolts found in other designs. I scaled up a 120% knob from another design to use as the knob for this tensioner. To print the main bracket, stand it upright, and print the rider flat. If you have the original model's rider, you can reuse it without making any changes. I haven't printed this design yet since my machine is busy, but it should fit on the 20x20 extrusion just fine. Postscript: I recently discovered that removing the bed with carrier from my CR10S5 is a breeze with this mod. Simply unplug the cable, loosen the adjuster knob, and pull the rider out of its track. Then, remove the enclosure covers from the 2040 extrusions, and the entire assembly will slide off for easy maintenance. Make sure the bed carrier clears the tensioner to avoid any issues.
