CR-10S4 Build Plate Restraint
thingiverse
This is a build plate restraint designed specifically for the **CR-10S 4** but can also be used with other CR-10 printers, relying on stock hardware. It eliminates the need for bed clamps that distort and warp the bed. The BPR should be paired with the BPR TPU compression sleeve I created and will upload soon. **06/22/2018 -> https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2973974** **06/08/2018 V6 of the design offers enhanced features, including:** * Stronger support arms that clamp securely * A reinforced restraint wall Photos have been added to show experiments conducted with TPU and standard Nylon printed parts: * A TPU part printed with PLA supports and brim * A TPU part after removing supports * A TPU part under full spring compression with zero deformity The final experiment will involve a dual-material print, featuring Nylon supports and an outer retention wall backing paired with a TPU inner wall and internal fastener surfaces. This combination should provide maximum rigidity while allowing the TPU contact surfaces to absorb vibrations. **06/22/2018** Photos have been added of a PLA print that utilized TPU supports. **08/27/2018** A new STL and Fusion file will be available soon, as I have realized that the previous model had an incorrect thickness, preventing it from sliding through the CR-10 frame. Sorry for the inconvenience.
